They hurt without even a flinch
They promised but never lived up to it
Felt hurt, but they didn’t care
Never said sorry; not with their lips, not even on a piece of paper or telepathy
Looked up to the sky, God I know you care
They’re villains in our life stories, deserve poetic justice.
Evil people all around
Cruel step-mothers and heartless girlfriends
Dad and all the bad fathers out there, this is for you.
I know Hitler and Osama are paying up
I know those bankrolling terrorism; Al shabaab, Boko Haram and ISIS will one day pay up
Will pay up for generations, for generations and generations to come
God is watching, He never sleep.
You don’t defile my child and expect a pat on the back
Malipo ni hapa hapa duniani
Not in the after-life or when Jesus comes back.
The innocent souls of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan
The poor students of Sharpeville Massacre in South Africa
Kenya’s 2008 post-election violence victims (2017’s too).
I know they’re paying
I know they’ll pay to the last of their offspring
God lives; I believe He sees, He hears and He feels
He will make them pay
Call it poetic justice, Karma, or simply retribution.
