And then she discovered boys

I know her, known her since she was just a little girl

Licking mucus from her tiny nostrils, crying after her mama as she left for the market

She was a great kid, everyone said it

But then she turned into a teenager, and discovered boys

Now all she wanna do is seat and chat and share her selfies and half nudes on Instagram, go out and party every weekend

Go on roadtrips with her friends, shouting hoarse at everyone they come across

Smoke weed all day with the boys, add another tattoo at most obscene places

And she hates advice, especially one coming from her mother

She will sulk all day and threaten to go on hunger strike, she would talk of suicide sometimes

When things don’t go her way, and it scares her patents

They don’t know her anymore, no one does.
